    SYRACUSE - Stacy Woodling of Warsaw received the crown of Miss Kosciusko Sunday night in a ceremony at Wawasee High School.

The 18-year-old daughter of Charles and Sherry Woodling, and Warsaw Community High School senior, garnered the crown from a field of 10 contestants.

August 16 1981

    DAYTON, Ohio - For most frisbee-throwers, the sport is only for recreation. But for Phil Eherenman, 23, of Warsaw, and Tim Phend, 20, of Fort Wayne, playing with a frisbee was a profitable endeavor.

The pair of Hoosiers captured the $200 first prize by winning the freestyle division in the Ohio State Frisbee Championships, conducted in from of some 5,000 people in Welcome Stadium.

August 16 1956

    Donna Miller, 10, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Miner, of Etna Green, won a bicycle at the "Kids Day" program at the county fair.

Linda Davidson, 7, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Davidson, of Pierceton, found riding a pony at the county fair great fun. The pony rides and other rides on the midway were the "hit of the day."

    C.I. Bashore has received a $50 cash first prize in the hatchery contest promoted by the Hatchery Tribune at Mt. Morris, Ill. The contest was conducted on a 12-months plan.
