BOURBON - It is fitting in this 50th anniversary year of D-Day that a World War II veteran was chosen to be honored by the Bourbon Summerfest committee.
INDIANAPOLIS - With the addition of 27 new recruits, Indiana Conservation Officers have filled their ranks prior to the 1979 fall hunting season.
Among those winning awards for outstanding costumes displayed at the National Costumers association meeting being held in St. Louis was Reuben Ferns of Ferns and Avis, of Warsaw, it was announced today by Lester C. Essig, association secretary.
Al Bowman, Orville Kilmer, Roy Moore, George Loveday, Chris Gilbertson, Joe Foote, Earnest Philpott, A.O. Lehman, Herbert Lehman and their wives will attend the 31st annual reunion of Co. H, 160th Indiana Volunteer Infantry, of the Spanish American War veterans and its auxiliary at Logansport Aug. 18.
