    Greg Glowe, 14, received a trophy after winning the three-state regional target tennis tournament at the Indianapolis Convention Center last week. Greg won in the 14 and under age division and now moves on to national competition at either Boston or New York later this month.

    Pvt. Eldon Werstler, son of Mrs. Susie Werstler, Pierceton, began classes Monday in cook's school at Camp Breckinridge, Ky. He was home on leave last weekend after completing basic at the training center.

Eldon is 20 years old and a member of the 1950 Pierceton High School class.

    A light frost was reported in lowland sections of Kosciusko County early today (August 11). At the same time an exceptionally heavy dew fell over Warsaw. In this city the temperature dropped to around 50 degrees at an early hour today.
