    Tiffany Gayle Stackhouse, 14 months, competed in the Kings and Queens Beauty Pageant 1991 Aug. 4 in the Holiday Inn, Plymouth, where she won first place in the photogenic category, second place in portfolio and fifth place in overall beauty. Tiffany is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Stackhouse Jr., 701 S. Buffalo St., Warsaw, and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Hall, Warsaw, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Stackhouse Sr., Laketon.

    Don Hostetler, current superintendent of the horse department at the Kosciusko County Fair, presented a gold wristwatch to Dale Sponseller, who was honored during the Open Horse Show for 34 years of dedication to the art of horsemanship. Sponseller served as horse department superintendent from 1941 through 1975.

    John Kinsey, 12-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. William Kinsey, Winona Lake, is winning baseball fame this summer at Avon Lake, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland. In a recent feature story in the Cleveland Plain Dealer a picture of John was labeled, "The Hitting Wonder of the Yankees." The story deals with the Little League players, composed of boys, 8 to 12 years of age, who have been playing bang-up ball. John's team, the Yankees, was fighting for first place. He has already been picked to play in the All-Star game.

    A unit of six Holland furnaces was given to C.H. Bennett, Warsaw, to sell by August 18. Bennett sold the six furnaces and two extra ones, entitling him to a prize.
