Dave Wayne tossed in 28 points to lead Carey & Crown to a victory Sunday in the championship game of the Warsaw Summer Basketball League.
Diane Bryant, Miss Pierceton, was all smiles after being crowned Kosciusko County Fair Queen Saturday night. Bryant won the penny-a-vote competition to become the third Pierceton winner in as many years.
Thirteen-year-old Timmy Utter, of Mentone, 1953 Warsaw Soap Box Derby champion, will leave at 4:30 tomorrow morning for Akron, Ohio, where he will compete Sunday in the All-American Soap Box Derby with 151 other champions from throughout the United States, Canada, Alaska and western Germany.
