Continuously serving Kosciusko County since 1854
Jerry L. Badskey has been honored as the 1988 Kosciusko County Realtor of the Year at the July 28 meeting at Rozella Ford Golf Club.
Gary Peters of Mentone High School recently signed a letter of intent to enroll at Marion College and participate in the athletic program. Peters earned 10 letters at Mentone, four each in cross country and track and two in basketball. A member of the National Honor Society, Peters has career bests of 4:42 in the mile and 10:30 in the two-mile.
Elroy Norris, Mentone, and William Wedrick, Silver Lake, brought back plenty of blue ribbons from Indianapolis last week. They displayed registered hogs at the Hampshire type conference.
The work of Jesse Ray Taylor last night at Winona could not be excelled. She is the only woman who impersonates male characters on the platform. Her old man character was most realistic. Her voice has a marvelous carrying power in the low register. While Taylor impersonates men, she is very much feminine in her off-stage appearance.
