    Rural Claypool resident Darren Kline swept the top awards at the 4-H sheep show Wednesday night.

Kline, 16, showed the grand champion market lamb, reserve grand champion market lamb, grand champion pen of two market lambs and reserve grand champion pen of two lambs.

    At the National Convention of the Independent Sawing Machine Dealers of America held recently in New Orleans, La., Dean Harmon was elected treasurer of the association.

Harmon operates Lowery Sewing Center, 2114 E. Winona Ave., Lakeview Shopping Center, Warsaw.

August 11 1951

    A heifer from this county will soon become the property of a needy family in West Germany. The heifer was recently given to the Heifer Project, an interfaith organization engaged in overseas rehabilitation, by the Men's Work group of the Church of the Brethren at Claypool. The Heifer Project has shipped approximately 6,000 heifers and a life number of goats to 20 different countries.

    Mrs. Belle Knickerbocker, of Prairie Street, has attended the Christian Sunday school for 27 years. On Sunday she will be presented with a Bible for her long attendance at the Christian church.
