    RICHMOND, Ky. - Patti Howie of Warsaw was among 50 students recently inducted into Phi Kappa Phi at Eastern Kentucky University.

Howie is a senior occupational therapy major.

    When Michele Walls won a bicycle in a promotion at Wendy's here, she was anything but greedy. Seems her brother had been involved in an accident which completely destroyed his bike and instead of asking for a girls bike for herself, she asked for a boys bike for her brother.

August 10 1956

    Mary Ann Long, of Warsaw, and William "Bill" Patrick, of North Manchester, near Sidney, were awarded $100 scholarships by the Warsaw Business and Professional Women's Club.

Mary Ann is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Long, and Bill is the son of Mrs. and Mrs. Everett Patrick, and was valedictorian of the Sidney graduating class this past spring.

75 Years Ago

August 10 1931

    A member of the first class to be graduated from the Warsaw High School, a class composed of three members, and warded diplomas in 1878, is visiting in the old home town. She is Mrs. Bell Weimer Burket, now of Kingman, Kan., who is the guest of her sister, Jennie Harter, of West Fort Wayne Street and her niece, Mrs. Norman Beagle.
