    Chick Hani called the tips at the Eagles Hall for the recent dance of the Warsaw Squares. Guests were present from North Manchester, Hagerstown, Anderson, Pierceton, Rochester and Warsaw. Several couples earned Kissen Kousin badges and the centerpiece was received by Dottie Baker. Hosts for the evening were Phil and Telma Little and Lowell and Marla Luce.

August 1 1948

    Susan Knoop, Claypool, and Leon Tucker, Sidney, were honored as star campers for the 1948 4-H camp which ended with a campfire at McClure Lake Wednesday night.

Ruth Ann Nine, North Webster, and Kenneth Dunnuck, Mentone, were designated as alternate star campers. Runners-up for the awards were Janet Carr, Claypool, and Forst Dunnuck, Mentone.

August 1 1923

    One head of cabbage weighing 8-1/4 pounds, and measuring nearly 12 inches in diameter, was sold here on Saturday by Charles Gilliam, dairy farmer living east of Warsaw, to Charles Douglass at 5 cents per pound. Douglass had stated he would pay top price for a big head and Gilliam surprised him.
