    Warsaw Police Cpl. Bob Long is in southern California getting acquainted with his new partner Jimmy. The 20-month-old German shepherd is going to take some getting used to, but word has it Long and dog are teaming up nicely. The dog has been trained for police patrol and drug searching.

Aug. 4 1974

    The 1974 4-H queen and king titles, presented to a capacity crowd in the Warsaw Community High School auditorium, are Ann Kaiser and Ralph Reiff. Ann is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kaiser, Rt. 2, Milford, and Ralph is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Reiff, Rt. 1, Warsaw.

    A "hobo" party was enjoyed by 60 members and guests of the Golden Rule class of the First Baptist Church, who were entertained Tuesday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Moore, of Palestine. Mrs. Edmond See was awarded the prize as the "best dressed hobo."

Aug. 4 1924

    The third cow ever reported to produce 100 pounds of butter fat per month is owned by Glenn Davisson of Milford. His Holstein produced 1,893 pounds of milk, tested 5.3 per cent and gave 100 pounds of fat for the month of June. Davisson had the 10 high producers for June.
