Suzi Kintzel, a graduate of Warsaw Community High School, has signed Mid-American Conference and national letters of intent to attend Ball State University and compete in softball.
Workmen climbed to the highest point on the dome of the Kosciusko County courthouse to erect a new flag pole. Gold paint is being applied to the dome which will be illuminated at night. The courthouse, built in 1882, is celebrating its 90th birthday.
Land agents of the state highway department's right-of-way department are purchasing real estate to convert U.S. 30 into a dual-lane highway between Warsaw and Columbia City. The highway will run just north of the Pennsylvania Railroad.
The addition to the Leesburg High School will be completed on or before Sept. 10, so that the new rooms can be used with the opening of the fall semester. The new addition will include an assembly room for the high school pupils.
