    Ground was recently broken for the new McHatton-Sadler Funeral Home to be constructed at the corner of Parker Street and DuBois Drive. The new facility will be approximately 9,200 square feet and will contain a formal chapel capable of seating 250 people. Construction is expected to be completed around the first of the year.

    Warsaw Little League coaches were honored for their contribution to the summer program. Managers and coaches include Jeff Kindle, Bob Montel, Grover Martin, Ed Watkins, Doug Moore, Robert Burner, Mark Hanna, Glen Thomas and Art Snyder.

Aug. 25 1947

    The permanent Kosciusko County Honor Roll of World War II, carrying the names of 2,537 men and women veterans, including 55 who gave their lives in service, has been installed in the rotunda of the courthouse. Gold stars honor the war dead.

    With 12 persons ready to make affidavit of the presence of a monster fish in Chapman Lake, which they have seen within the past three days, Warsaw people are ready to put credence in the big fish story as told by them.
