    Heidi Sisson earned her medical assistant certification by passing the American Association of Medical Assistants certification examination recently.

Sisson will graduate May 7 from Ivy Tech in South Bend. She is employed at Home Health Care of Kosciusko County, Warsaw.

    Bill Wise, baritone sax, has recently been notified that he has been selected for membership in the Jazz Abroad Band. This highly select jazz band, composed of outstanding high school and university students from all over the United States, will tour several European countries next July and August.

Wise, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Wise, Warsaw, is a member of the Warsaw Community High School Band directed by Philip Eherenman.

April 9 1954

    Richland Township School, Larwill, won the Whitley County poultry judging contest held recently at the REMC building in Columbia City.

Members of the winning team, instructed by Francis Schuler, were Melvin Mathias, Rex Juillerat, Donald Boner and Roger Rollins. Melvin Mathias was high scorer for the entire contest.

    Robert Vail, of Milford, owner of a Hampshire brood sow, is authority for the statement that this sow brought into the world last week a litter of 20 healthy pigs. This sow is 3 years old and has had five litters thus far, the first three being of 11 pigs each, the fourth of 12 pigs and the fifth of 20 pigs, making a total of 65.
