NORTH MANCHESTER - A rat terrier dog belonging to Paul Huffman tried to mother 50 baby chicks. The chicks were in a box in the house and while the family was gone the dog carried the chickens one by one to a closet. When the family returned the dog led the way to the closet to proudly show the new home for the chicks. None of the chicks were injured in any way and the dog showed all indications of wanting to protect and care for them.
