Outstanding contributors to the Indiana livestock industry were honored recently at the Indiana Livestock Breeders Association annual banquet at Purdue University.
A happy Jenny Cox displayed her plaque as the mental attitude award winner in the IHSAA gymnastics state finals. Jenny, a senior at Wawasee, placed eighth in the all-around at Saturday's championships. Her best individual finish was in the floor exercise, where she took a fourth. She placed eighth in optional vaulting, 12th in the uneven parallel bars and 19th in the balance beam.
New officers elected at a recent meeting of the Warsaw Eagles Lodge are as follows: worthy president, Glenn Mitchell; worthy vice president, Donald Creakbaum; chaplain, Theodore Reich; conductor, Walter Danielson; inside guard, Reid Woodling; trustee for three years, Raymond Neff. The retiring president Kenneth Priser automatically advances to the post of junior worthy past president and trustee for one year.
James T. Bouras, employee of the Strand Theatre, today was awarded naturalization papers by Judge L. W. Royse in the Kosciusko Circuit Court. He is a native of Sparta, Greece.
