    Eldon L. Werstler, Warsaw, was recently honored as a member of the New Manufacturing Co. Century Club.

Werstler ranked 13th nationally in sales among the company's 1,400-member sales organization. Werstler also received his firm's Thunderbird Award based upon his achievements during 1989. He is one of only 36 members of the President's Million Dollar Club.

    Donald Baugher, of Tippecanoe, formerly of Warsaw, was taken by surprise when he received a telephone call that he had won the 12-inch black and white television set during the recent contest held at the local Grant City Store, Lakes Village Shopping Center. Baugher, almost speechless, said, "This is the first time I ever won anything."

April 7 1950

    Eloise Bilby, student at Indiana Central College, at Indianapolis, will be editor-in-chief of "The Reflector," the college publication. Bilby will be in charge of the May and June issues of the monthly publication as well as those next college year.

Her parents are Mr. and Mrs. Paul M. Bilby, Country Club Road.

    The Pierceton team won the county corn judging contest conducted at the office of Jesse Bruner, county superintendent of schools. The team was made up of Tom Tenney, Marvel Mishler and Raymond Leedy.

The three boys who received the highest scores and who will be given a trip to the state corn judging contest at Purdue are: Marvel Mischler, Pierceton; Herbert Shipley, Atwood; and Arthur Morris, Syracuse.
