Be it the postal service or the Polish Communist government, a letter to Chad Curtis from former Solidarity Leader Lech Walesa arrived more than three months after it was sent. The letter represents the fourth correspondence received by Curtis, a resident of rural Warsaw.
David Wayne Haines, M.D., has assumed the post of Kosciusko County Health Officer, replacing George M. Haymond, M.D., who resigned May 1. Dr. Haines, 29, moved to Warsaw to begin a general practice of medicine in association with doctors Roland S. Snider and William C. Parke in mid-December 1971.

McDonald Island in Winona Lake was almost under water today, as a result of the rising of the water in the lake yesterday and last night. The bridge of the Winona Interurban Railway Company west of Warsaw, was endangered by floodwater when water reached the right-of-way of the company. The bridge was anchored last night, with cables and a heavy work car placed upon it.
