    Dustin Calhoun, a freshman at Ball State University, has been accepted into the Delta Chi fraternity.

Calhoun, who is majoring in criminal justice, graduated from Warsaw Community High School in 1993. He is the son of John and Teresa Calhoun, Atwood.

    A team of Warsaw youth has won a championship for the second consecutive year in the District Bible Quiz of the United Methodist Church.

Members of the winning team are Jim Carlson, Drew Dickerson, Todd Frauhiger and Kevin Gearhart, all members of First United Methodist Church, Warsaw. Howard Bock is the team coach.

    Phil Weaver, 16, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Weaver, of Argonne Road, Warsaw, has been selected competitively from a total of approximately 800 Indiana cadets to represent them at a congressional dinner in Washington, D.C., it was announced by officers of the Warsaw Civil Air Patrol Unit, in which Weaver holds the rank of cadet second lieutenant.

    Mushrooms are ripe! Without the aid of their mushroom hounds, Mr. and Mrs. William B. Taylor, residing two miles north of Warsaw, bagged the first catch of any moment of this season. Right in their own orchard they found 90 nice, luscious fungi mushrooms.
