After 38 years with the Mentone post office, clerk Richard (Dick) Boganwright is retiring.
As a postal clerk, Boganwright assisted with nearly every facet of the small town post office, from sorting mail, waiting on customers at the window and even substituting on a route for a brief stint.

Frances Lipply and Earl Snell accepted trophies from Kenneth Ellison, co-chairman of the Bowl Down Cancer Tournament held recently at local lanes. Lipply was the women's winner at Holiday Lanes and Ellison was the men's division winner.
Mildred Behnke, chairman of the Bowl Down Cancer Tournament, presented trophies to Gene Swank, winner of the men's division at Gilliam Lanes, and Kay Mitterling, Gilliam women's division champ.
50 Years Ago April 27 1949
The Milford 4-H club captured another honor Saturday, with its livestock judging team winning a county contest by scoring 1,140 out of a possible 1,200 points.
Team members, coached by Marion Stackhouse, were Jesse Beer, Arthur Gilvert and Daryl Johnson, with Bob Clark as an alternate member.
75 Years Ago April 27 1924
Mrs. William Conrad left on Monday for Indianapolis to attend a meeting of the Order of Eastern Star. Mrs. A.C. McDonald and Mrs. Charles Klingel went to Indianapolis Tuesday at attend the meeting.
