    Amita Detta, a sixth grader at Lincoln School, received congratulations from Roger Fisher, United Telephone Company of Indiana's community relations manager in Warsaw, for finishing well enough in a poster-designing contest for the 27th annual National Poison Prevention Week to have her work put on display at the Children's Museum in Indianapolis.

April 27 1973

    Home economics teachers in the Warsaw area, Mary Reece, Mary Alice Bernstein, Barbara Nicholls and Laura Hadley, attended a recent Terre Haute conference of the Indiana Home Economics Association. More than 500 home economists gathered in the annual spring meeting to discuss the theme, "Motivation for Action."

    Linda Lou Wiseman was guest of honor at a party given in celebration of her fifth birthday at her home at Beechwood Park, Huffman Lake. A barnyard theme was carried out in the decorations, games and refreshments. Her little guests included Ruth Walker; Nancy Johnson; Mark Cosgrove; Donna Person, Raymond, Inez and Frances Sechrist; and Judy Norman.

    North Webster High School will graduate seven seniors on May 4. Those who will receive diplomas are Jennie Wolfe, Bessie Hammon, Clara Shock, John Eberly, Wallace Ervin, Beatrice Bigler and Ruby Brown Saidla.
