    Weeks of waiting and wondering ended Friday as officials turned to high-tech equipment to find some of Kosciusko County's oldest records.

Hours of drilling and probing finally paid off as the "archive" buried in the cornerstone of the county courthouse in 1882 was located and opened.

    Winners of prizes from Miller & Son Lumber Co. at the recent Home and Sport Show in Warsaw are Jerry Chubb, Warsaw, first prize, a garbage disposal; Judy Plotner, Warsaw, second prize, a cordless drill; and Zondra Scott, Warsaw, a hammer and a 25-foot tape measure.

April 26 1956

    Two 16-year-olds, Anita Eddingfield and Susie Babcock, juniors at Warsaw High School, have been named delegate and alternate, respectively, to Girls' State by the local American Legion Auxiliary.

Anita is the daughter of Mildred Eddingfield, of Warsaw, and Susie is the daughter of Mrs. Thomas Hay, of Warsaw.

75 Years Ago

April 26 1931

    Isabel Rarick, 9-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Rarick, Leesburg, made a grade of "A" in all subjects in the examinations held last week. Isabel is a member of the fifth-grade class of the Leesburg school. Ruth Templin is teacher of the class.
