Chris Helton, a senior at Warsaw Community High School, will attend the honors program and reception for those players who were chosen for the Region II All-Star Football Team. Helton was chosen as one of the defensive linemen for the team.
Jeff Miller and Susan Stokes were crowned king and queen of the 1976-77 Junior-Senior Prom at Warsaw Community High School. Jeff is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey J. Miller, 607 N. Lindberg St., Warsaw, and Susan is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stan Stokes, 1408 W. Cardinal Dr., Warsaw. Members of the court include Steve Reed, Christie Eherenman, Roseann Oest and Rod Mayer.
The essay of Marie Walker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert O. Walker, Country Club Drive, Warsaw, was judged best in the junior high school division of the essay contest conducted by American Legion Auxiliary units in the Second District, it was reported today.
Bert Dausman, Van Buren Township, Kosciusko County, was elected treasurer of the Thirteenth District association of township trustees. Other officers re-elected were: Frank Gordon, St. Joseph County, chairman; William Engle, vice chairman, and John Emery, secretary.
