For former North Webster resident Angela Spangle, writing has been a time-consuming hobby since her junior high days. But she is about to be rewarded. A New York publishing firm will publish Spangle's book, "Murder by Night," later this year.
In 1961, Norm Grubbs posted a Warsaw Community High School track record of 2:01.5 in the 880. Last night, 11 years later, Tiger senior Roger Ransbottom tied Grubbs' effort in a sparkling performance that overshadowed Warsaw's overpowering 74-44 triumph over visiting Northfield.
Harvey Gosert, 504 N. Lake Street, celebrated his 94th birthday Tuesday. He and his wife, Alice, who is 89, maintain their own home and take care of themselves in quite a large extent.
The 19 boys in the Milford Corn Club are planning for some good records this year. They realize that seed has a lot to do with the yield and have arranged to get five bushels of Reid's Yellow Dent corn from Ren Wolfe of Pierceton. Mr. Wolfe was one of the medal winners in the state five-acre corn growing contest last year, having a yield of 80 bushels per acre.
