    Army Pvt. David B. Livengood has arrived for duty in West Germany.

He is a medical specialist with the 8th Infantry Division. Livengood is the son of Julia A. Livengood, Nappanee. The private is a 1989 graduate of NorthWood High School, Nappanee.

    William (Bill) Schuldt, principal of Pierceton Middle School, received the Outstanding Citizen Award from Mrs. Carl (Helen) Latta, president of the Pierceton Chamber of Commerce, during the second annual chamber banquet.

    First and second place winners of the poppy poster contest for pupils in the Warsaw schools, sponsored by the Warsaw unit of the American Legion auxiliary, are: Senior high school, John Miller, first, and Bill Ladd, second; junior high school, Colette Jacobs, first, Leo Grow, second; and in the grade schools, Archie Lecrone, first, and Anna Jo Reeves, second.

    A few days ago Judge L.W. Royse of this city was treated to a nice little ride in a jolt wagon driven by Charles Nice. The judge enjoyed the ride very much and stated that it was his first ride in a wagon for 40 years.
