    GOSHEN - Warsaw junior Jennifer Kintzel celebrated her 17th birthday in style Wednesday (April 21), tossing a no-hitter as the Lady Tigers blanked Goshen 14-0 in Northern Lake Conference softball action.

In raising her season mark to 4-1, Kintzel fanned 13 hitters while walking just one in the complete game masterpiece.

    Tippecanoe Valley High School recently honored its girls' winter sports athletes. Capturing top basketball awards were Terri Walgamuth (mental attitude), Susan Eryman (captain and free throw award), Cathy Welch (MVP, captain, free throw award and rebound award), Mary Beth Gast (captain) and Donna Avery (junior varsity free throw award).

    Frank Bryer, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Bryer, is visiting his parents for a few months after completing his second enlistment in the U.S. field artillery at San Antonio, Texas. He will re-enlist at Indianapolis and will take foreign service, probably in the Philippines.
