Max Jones of Jones Appliance and Jean Northenor of Lake City Bank recently sponsored Warsaw's Bob Taylor in the Wrestling Central Regional National held in LaCrosse, Wis., April 11-15. Taylor wrestled in the 123-pound class where there were 58 participates. He placed second and was defeated in the finals 7-4. The regional was one of four conducted in the country.
John McCammon and Bruce Bryant have been named valedictorian and salutatorian of the Whitko High School 1975 graduating class of 154 seniors.
Fred Shipmen, who operates dog kennels near Atwood, six miles west of Warsaw, recently shipped a female beagle hound to a man in New Orleans. When the dog arrived in New Orleans the purchaser received six dogs instead of the one he ordered. "Queenie" had five puppies while en route on the Eastern Airliner. The Railway Express company employees officiated at the birth and took care of the mother and litter.
Mr. and Mrs. Solomon Barringer, who reside on their 80-acre farm west of Warsaw, recently celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary. One of the features of the wedding celebration was the attendance of three friends of the couple who were guests of the wedding sixty years ago.
