    The Division I team from Eisenhower Elementary captured first-place honors in the Odyssey of the Mind competition in Indianapolis. Members of the team are Troy Stapleton, Ben Kreinbrink, Cory Gackenheimer, Dayna Ridderman, Nate Edgington, Cassie Noble and Stephanie Wilson.

April 22 1979

    Warsaw's Rex Reed and Tom Deardorff were part of the sea of humanity at the Boston Marathon, where 7,800 runners started the 26 mile, 385-yard race in Hopkinton, Mass. Defending champion Bill Rodgers crossed the finish line with a new record - 2:09:27 for his third win.

April 22 1954

    Lolly Bumbaugh and Ray Heiman won individual trophies in the Indiana finals of the National Forensic League speech contest held at Butler University, Indianapolis, where Mary Ann Long, John McCoy and Mary Anne Dunbar place in the final round. Warsaw High School's speech team earned 126 points, placing second in the state.

April 22 1929

    Jack Ferguson of Warsaw was the individual high point man of the triangular track meet held at Plymouth Saturday. He scored 18 points for the Tigers. Among the points were two firsts, one the hundred yard dash, the other the broad jump.
