Terri Reuter, Shanna Merritt, Ashley Winn, Maria Kittrell and Amy Becker had the top scores in the recent Indiana Mathematics League Contest. The scores of the Lakeview Middle School students were sent to contest headquarters, where they earned the team a seventh-place ranking in the state. The seventh-graders are the students of Keith Cook.
Beatrice Stidham of the V&B Golf Club presented Craig Morris with a trophy after he hit the club's first hole in one of the 1976 season. Morris, a sophomore at Tippecanoe Valley High School, used a nine iron on the 130-yard eighth hole. He got his ace on April 2.
Janet Walter, majorette with the Warsaw High School band, took part in a program, "Baton Fantasies of 1951," presented Saturday evening at Fremont. She appeared as a guest baton twirling soloist on the program, which was sponsored by the Michiana Baton club.
Al Cuffel, who builds many bird houses, today (April 14) put up a fine martin house on the lawn of Judge L.W. Royse. Martins arrived several days ago at the Cuffel home, South Detroit Street.
