MUNCIE - Meenakshi Datta of Warsaw Community High School will be a member of the next junior class at the state's only public residential high school for academically gifted students.
Two local men walked away with third place honors at the Myong Kil Kim Memorial Tae Kwon Do, Karate Invitational Championships at Mishawaka. Jerry McClelland, 24, Claypool, was awarded third place in heavyweight black belt sparring, and Robert Walls, 34, Warsaw, captured third place in the red-brown forms division. McClelland and Walls are both members of the Dharma School of Tae Kwon Do, Warsaw, and study under master instructor Young I. Park.
Arthur DeWispelaere will be installed as exalted ruler of the Warsaw Elks Lodge at the regular meeting along with other newly elected lodge officers.
"Adam and Eve," a three-act comedy, will be staged April 17 at the Centennial Theatre by the junior class of the Warsaw High School with the following cast: Adam Smith, Robert Morgan; James King, Forrest Dederick; Lord Andrew, Charles Butler; Dr. Delamater, Foste Rickel; Horace Pilgrim, Don VanCuren; Clinton Dewitt, Charlton Phelps; Julia Dewitt, Margaret Gilliam; Eva King, Queenie Oliver; Corinthia, Inez Barringer; Aunt Abbey, Ruth Harmon.
