    Principal James Smith of Manchester High School has announced that Eris Vanessa Migliorini will be the Class of 1990 Valedictorian and Sonya Marlene Yoder will be Salutatorian.

Migliorini has a perfect 11.0 grade point average and Yoder has a 10.909 grade point average on an 11.0 scale at the end of seven semesters.

    Syracuse Town Marshal Dale W. Sparklin has announced that he is retiring from the Syracuse Police Department since he turned 65 earlier this month.

Sparklin was appointed head of the police department in January of 1974 by the town board.

    Announcement has been made by the administration of Indiana Central College that Millicent Grace Tatter, 635 S. Buffalo St., Warsaw, won second place in a recent competitive scholarship examination sponsored by the college in the St. Joseph conference in the St. Joseph conference of the Evangelical United Brethren Church. Second place scholarship amounts to $125 per year.

Winning first place was James Herbert Burns, route 2, Rochester, which amounted to $250.
