    The foursome of Dave Carpenter, Bill Goshert, Dave Vermillion and Rex Reid shot a four-under par 66 to win the Rozella Ford A-B-C-D Scramble.

Ervin Slone was awarded for longest putt and Jamie Philpot earned longest drive honors.

    John R. Hill, son of Mr. and Mrs. R.J. Hill, Mentone, was initiated as an active member of the Epsilon Mu chapter of Delta Tau Delta social fraternity at Ball State University. Hill, a third quarter sophomore at Ball State University, is a communication major with minors in business and musical theatre and also has been affiliated with University Singers and two musical theatre productions.

    Larry Mulcahy, Warsaw, and Loren Munson, Claypool, have been selected to attend Boys' State at Indianapolis, June 13-20, as representatives of the Warsaw American Legion post.

Named as alternates are Jim Hall, Warsaw, and Douglas Vanator, Claypool.

    Nellie Mikel, Etna Green, is one of 27 freshman girls of Indiana University, who have been recognized as outstanding by Mortar Board, honorary women's organization at the university. The freshman are chosen each year on the basis of their scholarship, personality and activity on the campus.
