    Mi-Shaun Bean, 3, son of Mitchell and Debra Beam, 1614 E. Center St., Warsaw, was recently crowned king in the 2- and 3-year-old boys' division of the Sunburst King Beauty Contest, which took place at Southtown Mall, Fort Wayne.

    Capturing four of the highest awards offered at the state convention was the honor accorded the Wawasee High School Chapter of Future Teachers of America. Among those participating in the convention were: Kelly Carvajal, Ann Brice, Becky Replogle and Cindy Rapp.

April 18 1948

    Edwin Cashman, Winona Lake, ace cornetist in the Warsaw High School band, will appear as soloist with the North Manchester Civic Symphony at a concert Sunday afternoon. Other soloists will be Myra Mow, North Manchester, alto saxophone; Ronald Holloway, Wabash, marimba; and Donald Detrick, Dayton, Ohio, cellist.

April 18 1923

    Twenty-two rifle teams, representing as many Indiana National Guard companies, universities and schools and civilian clubs, were today participating in the annual state rifle tournament at Culver Military Academy range. The Warsaw National Guard team, which took second place in the 1922 tournament, is represented.
