    Shana Oxley, the daughter of Gary and Marcia Oxley, Etna Green, has been selected to participate in the 17th annual Sounds of Hope European good will tour. Sounds of Hope is a nondenominational organization promoting international understanding and good will through music.

    Students at Warsaw Junior High School observed "courtesy week" and selected the most courteous boy and girl as king and queen. They are, eighth grade: Merilyn Messner, queen, and Terry Phillips, king; seventh grade, Angie Bloom, queen, and Tim Conrad, king.

    Jeanne H. Gebert, with a four-year scholastic average of 94.59, today was named valedictorian of the Larwill High School graduating class. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Gebert, of Richland Township, and plans to enter Manchester College this coming fall.

    Al Cuffel reports that the first martins to arrive from the Southland put in an appearance at his place on East Baker Street Sunday. Their appearance, he says, is a sure sign that spring is here.
