    Spec. Michelle R. Craddock has been awarded the Good Conduct Medal in West Germany.

The award was presented for exemplary conduct while in the active service of the United States. She is a 1985 graduate of Warsaw Community High School.

April 17 1975

    Marsha Hoskins and Jeff Tallman were crowned queen and king of the eighth grade during the annual party at Warsaw Junior High School. The runners-up were Frankie Butler and Joe Nelson. The queen is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Hoskins, 811 E. Smith St., Warsaw, and Jeff is the son of Warsaw Community High School head basketball coach and Mrs. Ike Tallman, 1106 S. Buffalo St., Warsaw.

April 17 1950

    Jerry Williams, Warsaw High School junior, won second place in the sectional Rotary discussion contest, held at Goshen. The Goshen school representative was winner of the contests.

Jerry's subject was, "Stand Up and Fight." He previously had qualified for the sectional contest by winning the local Rotary Club contest.

    Byron Spitler, who operates a general store at Doran station, south of Mentone, well-known former base ball pitcher, will manage the Mentone base ball team this year. An all-paid aggregation will probably take the field for Mentone at the fine Mentone ball park.
