    Mindy Metzger, Tippecanoe Valley's 22-plus points-per-game point guard, has given a verbal agreement to St. Joseph's College in Rensselaer.

The school, ranked fifth this past season in NCAA Division II women's basketball, has offered Metzger a full four-year scholarship.

    INDIANAPOLIS - For the second year in a row, Rochester High School will be represented on the Indiana High School girls' All-Star team that plays Kentucky in June.

Laura Newcomb, a 5'-9" center, is following in the footsteps of Shelly Newell, as she was one of 12 senior girls announced for the second annual two-game charity series against the Bluegrass state.

    Lloyd Harlan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Harlan, Route 2, Nappanee, is participating in a 1,500-mile tour of Ohio, Pennsylvania and Maryland with the Findlay College a cappella choir. The 42-voice choir, directed by Prof. John R. Van Nice, will present 15 concerts.

    Piano pupils of Nellie Killian gave a pleasing piano recital at the home of Mrs. Lester Thayer of Winona. Those playing were: Sarah Eschback, Barbara Dickey, Sarah Spriggs, Helen Peterson, Ruth Newlin, Eunice VanDyke, Evelyn Richer, Frances Thayer and Catharine Epley.
