    SOUTH WHITLEY - Whitko's Rachel Brown has been selected to play in the Nancy Rehm All-Star basketball game April 20.

Brown is the Times-Union Player Of The Year.

April 15 1981

    POTPOURRI - Kathy O'Connell, daughter of Tom O'Connell and Lila O'Connell, was recently returning to her office in Dallas after visiting Warsaw, and was please her assigned seat aboard American Airlines out of Indianapolis was next to Red Skelton. She said Skelton (who is a Hoosier, too) is just as witty in normal conversation as he is on TV. He was going back to his California home after an appearance at Indiana University, Bloomington. Kathy is employed by American Airlines as a traveling auditor and spends 75 percent of her time auditing American terminals all over the Western Hemisphere.

April 15 1956

    Judy Beeson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Beeson, of near Mentone, won fourth place in the open division of The Times-Union Bugs Bunny Easter Coloring Contest. Judy is a fourth-grade pupil at Mentone School. She was awarded a $1 prize.

April 15 1931

    The largest cut in gasoline in the history of Warsaw went into effect this Monday morning when the Standard Oil stations were offering eight gallons of gasoline for $1.

Parties who were riding Sunday reported that gasoline was being sold enroute at seven gallons for 95 cents and seven and one half gallons for $1.
