April 14 1990

    The Warsaw Tigers' soccer team made it four in a row as it defeated Elkhart Central 1-0 at the Warsaw Middle School field.

Warsaw got the only goal it needed for the game early in the second period as freshman Kevin Laird came off the bench to score the goal. The goal was assisted by Darrin Skinner and Eric Kissinger.

April 14 1975

    Crowning of a spring king and queen highlighted the annual seventh grade party at Warsaw Junior High School. Selected were King Chris Cusick and Queen Sara Coon. Chris is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Cusick, Rt. 6, Lake Forrest Addition, Warsaw, and Sara is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Summy, Rt. 1, Leesburg, and Jim Coon, Warsaw.

April 14 1950

    Lake City Lodge of the Fraternal Order of Police was formed in a ceremony conducted by high ranking state officers, aided by the Goshen lodge of the order. Twenty-four men representing Warsaw, Rochester, Winona Lake, Claypool, Silver Lake and Milford were initiated into the newly-formed lodge.

Named as officers of the new lodge for the remainder of 1950 were: Roy Adams, president; Paul Shull, vice president; Clarence Teghtmeyer, secretary and treasurer; Robert Peterson, conductor; Raymond Neff, guard; Frank Juterbock, Ralph Jay and Marion Warner, trustees, all of the Warsaw police department.

April 14 1925

    "Jack the Peeper" was seen last evening peering into the windows of the Winnie Hubler, Mrs. Julia Harmon and Mrs. J.O. Harshner homes on East Fort Wayne Street. Policeman Judd Pittenger and a Times reporter responded to the call at the Hubler home, but could find no trace of the peeper.

Mrs. C.C. Kindle saw the peeper looking into her neighbor's window and called the police.
