The Warsaw Tigers soccer team started their season off in a big way with a 11-1 victory over South Bend Washington at the Grace College soccer field Friday night.
Terri Harbridge, 20-month-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Harbridge, of 1406 River Crest Drive, Warsaw, was among the hundreds of children who fled in all directions Saturday for the annual Easter egg hunt, held at the fairgrounds. With the help of her little rag doll, Terri found five beautifully colored eggs. The annual event is sponsored by the Warsaw Jaycees.
Harry E. Lewallen, a prominent local citizen, was endorsed by the Warsaw American Legion Tuesday night as a candidate for the high office of northern vice commander of the American Legion, department of Indiana. He is a former county superintendent of schools and has held many important positions in the Legion.
Dedication of the new United Brethren Church, Etna Green, will be held next Sunday with an all-day meeting. Dr. W.R. Funk will be in charge of the meeting. He will be assisted by Rev. D.B. Kessinger, Warsaw, and Rev. J.A. Groves. At the noon hour the ladies will serve dinner at the church. Rev. L.G. Bearss is pastor of the church.
