BOURBON - Triton Elementary will be represented at the state Odyssey of the Mind competition Saturday in Greenwood.
The team of Christopher Kauffman, Betsy Price, Ryan Schori, Tim Speicher, Tracie Wells, Braxton Barton and Kyle Bell advanced to state after winning the Division 1 regional at Bunker Hill.

A Claypool farmer, Frank Merkle, was recently named "Cattleman Of The Year" by the Kosciusko County Cattlemen's Association.
Merkle has been an active farmer and member of the Cattlemen's Association several years.

Stanley H. Arnolt, 48, Warsaw industrialist, has been appointed as the new Indiana wing commander of the Civil Air Patrol with the rank of lieutenant colonel.
The Indiana wing, comprised of approximately 40 squadrons strategically placed throughout the state, has a total membership of nearly 2,000 senior and cadet officers and men and women.

County officials are puzzled how to hang calendars and maps as orders have been issued that no nails or tacks may be driven into the redecorated walls.
When the work of redecorating is completed, plans will be made for the hanging of maps and calendars on the walls.
