    Warsaw resident Jean Ciriello will be inducted into the Delaware County Athletic Hall of Fame May 13.

The Hall is honoring the 32-year-old Ciriello for her golfing talents, proven by a long list of accomplishments.

April 13 1980

    John C. Don Dubbs was honored for 35 years of outstanding service as Adjutant for the post during the John C. Peterson American Legion Post 49's recent 61st birthday dinner.

It was stated by several past commanders, that he always helped them out and during the process of changing commanders he made sure reports were filed and things ran smoothly.

April 13 1955

    Senior star Ken Stone led Warsaw High School's track squad to an impressive 1955 debut at Plymouth, winning four individual events and anchoring the winning half-mile relay team as the Tigers rolled up 72-7/12 points to host Plymouth's 36-5/12.

Stone, one of Warsaw's outstanding three-sport athletes, won the 100 yard dash in 10.6, the 220 in 24.2, the low hurdles in 22 flat, and the broad jump with a leap of 19 feet, 5 inches. He anchored the veteran half-mile relay team to a very fine winning mark of 1:38.

April 13 1930

    L.E. Shroyer, Jacob Miller and Sam O. Stookey, members of the board of county commissioners, and L.E. Griffith of Griffith & Goodrich, Fort Wayne architects, went to Lafayette to witness boiler demonstrations at Purdue University so as to decide upon the type of boilers to select for the courthouse heating plant.
