Triton High School senior Julie Lozier, accompanied by her parents, Kay and Jerry Lozier, signed her letter of intent to attend Ball State University on a basketball scholarship.
As temperatures reached a spring season high of 82 Tuesday afternoon, six students from Warsaw Community High School, Mike Burr, Jay Records, Todd Martin, Jack Summe, Paul Marlette and Lane Shipp, decided it was time to ring in the coming summer by taking a dip in Center Lake. The boys said the swim was refreshing but very cold.
Gene Richards and young Buck Leedy are going to start molding plastic as soon as new equipment arrives. Operating now in fabrication of plastic articles in a plant on North Park Avenue, they plan to put up a new building. The firm will be known as the Richlee Plastics & Manufacturing Company.
Akron's last livery stable, the Emahiser barn, is to be razed. Automobile garages have taken the place of stables formerly maintained for horses.
