    James Harrison picked up another ace Thursday morning on the second hole of Stonehenge's Executive Course.

It was Harrison's third hole-in-one at the course. The other two came one week apart in June of 1987. Harrison used a six-iron on the 115-yard hole.

April 11 1976

    Robert Orcutt was appointed director of the Kosciusko County Area Plan Commission following a 50-minute executive session at the regular meeting Wednesday night. Orcutt begins his duties immediately.

Orcutt has served the commission as ordinance administrator since 1974, when he began work with James Baker on the implementation of the area plan. Baker resigned recently as director of the plan commission.

    SOUTH WHITLEY - Janet Harley, high school senior and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Milo Harley, was chosen as alternate to participate in the state speech contest at New Castle April 28. She was one of three South Whitley students who entered the district contest Saturday at Manchester College. The others were Rosie Sylvester and Pat Johnson.

    The oratorical contest that was held at the high school building Thursday night was attended by a large crowd, with 15 pupils taking part. The first prize was won by Richard O'Connell, the second by John Boggs and the third by Mildred Gillespie.
