Two Warsaw police officers received promotions effective April 1. Cpl. Lance Grubbs was promoted to sergeant. Grubbs has been with the department since January 1977. Patrolman Steven Adang was promoted to corporal. Adang has been with the WPD since January 1983.
Edward Roberts, who has been seen at stamp window at the Warsaw post office for the past 24 years, will retire effective April 28. Although retiring after 30 years in government service, he expects to continue to lead a busy life.
Wilma Scott, North Buffalo Street resident, taking her Collie "pup" for a walk, picking him up at the corners because he hasn't yet learned the way of Warsaw traffic. It's a problem for a human, let alone a dog.
Purchase of a radiphone equipment with amplifiers was authorized last night by the Warsaw Eagle Lodge. The wireless outfit will be installed in the Eagle Lodge and club rooms for the amusement and entertainment of the Lodge members and to furnish music for dances there.
