    The U.S. Achievement Academy announces that Israel Young has been named a United States National Award winner in speech and drama.

Young, son of Scott and Martha Young, attends Warsaw Community High School and was nominated for this national award by Becky White, a speech and drama teacher at the school.

    Amy Creighton, seven-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Creighton, Sunset Drive, Warsaw, won the giant Easter basket loaded with goodies valued at $39.95, sponsored by Harvey's Mart. Amy has a 10-year-old sister, Angela, and no doubt shared her prize, and both girls had a very happy Easter.

    Jim Ladd and Carl Daugherty are the new "domino kings" in Warsaw. The two men captured the third annual partners' domino tourney, held at Breading's Cigar Store, by defeating Dan Wrigley and Ed Plummer, 10 games to one, in the final championship match.

The consolation prize went to Forrest Dederick and John Robertson, who bested Noble Miner and Kenneth Boice, 10 games to 8, for third place.

    A big black martin arrived last night at the Roy Fawley home, corner of Clark and Bronson streets, and Mrs. Fawley is sure the rest of the family is on its way. Last year eight pairs of martins made their home at the Fawley place.
