    Those in attendance at the Kosciusko County Commissioners' public hearing got a sneak peek at the plans for Justice Building expansion project. The building will expand from its current location on the corner of Lake and Main Streets south to the corner of Lake and Center Streets.

While the bulk of the project will not begin until 2000, the sheriff's department central dispatch will be completed in the basement by the end of the year.

    Barbara Eastlund, treasurer of the Kosciusko County Republican Central Committee, was elected to the honorary position of assistant secretary to the State Republican Convention, which was held recently in the Convention Center in Indianapolis.

September 9 1959

    Former Warsawan Walter (Doc) Evans is still exercising his inventive genius. "Doc" is now living in North Manchester. A national firm will start marketing his latest invention - a combination pastry cutter and server--this month. The new device will be displayed at the National Houseware exhibit this summer.

September 9 1934

    Mrs. Mary McCarter, Mrs. W. F. McGary, Mrs. C. S. Lenwell and Mrs. J. E. Lawshe accompanied the former's Sunday school class of girls to Epworth Forest recently. They heard a concert given by the Wainwright band from Oliver Lake. The next evening the Berne men's chorus sang.
