    Rebecca Marie Bunton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Bunton, of Warsaw, has been selected by Bob Jones University as one of the country's most outstanding campus leaders by "Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges."

    The Tippecanoe Country Club Ladies' Bridge Club had 12 tables playing recently with the following winners: Helen Longfellow, Evalyn Brown, Jean Guyton, Virginia Horn, Hilda Coppes, Madge Kendall, Esther Lehman, Lois Waddle, Ruth Phillips, Vi Phend, Emma Korth and Patty Evans.

The door prize was won by Shirley Bricker. Hostesses for the day were Louise Sundtheimer, Helen Hetler and Alice Garman.

September 5 1959

    Karen Freed, 16, who was the Times-Union July Calendar Girl, won the Founders Day beauty contest held July 4 at Akron. Karen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Freed, Silver Lake, won both the bathing suit and talent divisions of the contest. Runners-up were Linda Lukens, of Rochester, and Rita Lockridge, of Beaver Dam.

September 5 1934

    The registration of young people at the Epworth Forest Institute, Lake Webster, has reached 1,100. This number exceeds by 300 the number registered last year. Splendid programs are being presented every evening, in addition to the instructional classes, which are conducted every day. The Warsaw district,under the leadership of Rev. E. S. McKee, enjoyed a boat ride on the boat "The Dixie."
