    MILFORD - New Salem Church of the Brethren, at CRs 200E and 900N, Milford, is planning a centennial celebration Sept. 14. The church was built and dedicated Sept. 12, 1897.

September 4 1982

    Lynda Moryl won low gross honors in the Tippecanoe Lake Country Club women's nine-hole association's round of play. Kathy Achenbach was let net winner and Irene Bucher won low putts in Class A.

In Class B, Liz Greenawalt won low gross, Virginia Hawks low net and Gracie Seybert low putts and in Class C, Joan Rhodes was low gross, Mary Steenhauzen low net and Diane Simpson low putts.

September 4 1957

    Karen Latimer, Beaver Dam 4-H club member, again won top honors in the 4-H Shropshire sheep show at the Indiana State Fair.

This is the fourth consecutive year and the fifth time that Karen has exhibited the grand champion Shropshire ewe at the state show.

September 4 1932

    The following Warsaw young persons will go to North Manchester on Friday to enroll at Manchester College: Madeline Gatke, Kenneth Breading, Phyllis Russell, Fayma Miller, Delight Mock and Margarita Parks. Gatke and Breading will enroll in the freshman class and the other will be members of the sophomore class.
