Tom and Carolyn Robinson’s home at 4355 W, CR 600N, Clunette, is open for the 2004 Historic Properties Tour Sept. 25. They bought their 95-year-old home at auction two years ago, the former home of Arthur and Lillian Anglin. Son Jay Anglin told the Robinsons that he had cowboy wallpaper in his bedroom; a strip has been framed, with the slogan “The Crossroads of the Prairie” spelled out in wooden letters. He remembers that the original house caught fire during the winter of 1909 and his parents brought the children out in the snow. Max Anglin, a cousin, recalls how the kids loved playing in the upstairs because “the rooms were dark and spooky.”

The Warsaw Tigers are coming off a 3-6 season in football and will be looking for their first winning season since the 9-1 year in 1982. If the team ends with an above .500 record, it would mark the ninth time in the last 29 years the team has posted a winning record.
“A Bouquet of Colors” will be the preschool story hour theme this fall at Warsaw Community Public Library. Each week the program will be centered around one of the major colors.
Pastor Charles Ellinwood, First United Methodist Church, Warsaw, is heading this year’s CROP Walk Oct. 8. Mayor Jeff Plank is one of the walkers.

Lee and Rebecca Heyde, children of Dr. and Mrs. Russell Heyde, Warsaw, were two of the youngest jumpers at the Mizpah Shrine Mounted Patrol’s show north of Columbia City. Lee, 10, won two fifth-places. Rebecca, 12, won a ninth in her class.
Sonja Johnson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe J. Johnson, 14 Fairlane Drive, has graduated from the Elkhart University of Medical and Dental Technique, Elkhart.
Mr. and Mrs. Rulo Frush, Warsaw, announced the arrival of a 7-pound, 12-ounce grandson born Aug. 11 in Bitburg, Germany, to AIC and Mrs. Earl B. Frush. The mother is the former Sandra Salman, Pierceton. Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Salman, Denver, Colo., formerly Pierceton.

Chief of Police Lucas informed the Moose Lodge that the iron stairway on the west side of their building on Market Street should be removed as it was unsafe.
Ollie Bloom, clerk at Warner Corset Shop, is back in Warsaw after attending the New York World’s Fair with her sister and nephew.
Attending United Brethren Church Young People’s Camp at Oakwood Park, Wawasee Lake, are Mary Annis Fishbaugh, Sara Jane Nye, Jeanne Miller, Mary Jane Shepler, Ethel and Evelyn Beebe, Wanita and Pansy Black, Mrs. Harry Willard and Mrs. Lester Denney.
The 15th annual reunion of the 1917 class of the Sidney High School was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H.D. Hunter, Sidney. A picnic was enjoyed.
