    Ivy Tech State College and the local high school will join this fall in a program to allow high school seniors to enroll in four child development classes. These college classes provide the training hours needed for child development associate credentials.

    Warsaw Community Schools have recently been recognized in The Literacy Letter produced by the Indiana Adult Literacy Coalition -- August 1984 edition.

This organization is part of the Governor's Voluntary Action Program and operates out of the State House in Indianapolis.

    Appointment of Stuart H. Van Dyke, formerly of Warsaw, as director of the International Cooperation Administration's Mission in Turkey was announced by the Department of State in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Van Dyke, 44, is a native of Idaho but lived in Warsaw as a youth. He graduated from Indiana University in 1935.

    Complimentary to the 81st birthday anniversary of Mrs. Mary Orr, several of her friends surprised her at her home on North Detroit street. A delicious pot-luck dinner was served at one long table, following which a social evening was enjoyed.
