    The Warsaw Rotary Club inducted Kevin Deardorff as their new president for 1999-2000 during their annual "Changing of the Guard" at Westminster Hall in Winona Lake.

Alan Alderfer was thanked for his service as president during the past year by Deardorff and was presented the "Gavel Award." Deardorff introduced the rest of the board of directors for the new year that include Alderfer as well as Dave Hamrick, Ken Locke, Don Clemens, Cindy Jones, Norm Strayer, Harvey Miller, Bill Gordon and Warren Walmer.

September 2 1984

    Four Warsaw Community High School baseball players were given awards for this season's play. They were: Keith Cummings, Mike Norris, Rich Krider and Mike Purcell. Cummings was named the most valuable player, was tied with Purcell as the leading batter and had the most offensive points. Krider was named the most improved player, and Norris was named the outstanding pitcher this season.

September 2 1959

    A real treat is in store for Kosciusko County and area golf fans, when 22 of the nation's outstanding professional women golfers appear at the Tippecanoe Lake Country Club, near Leesburg, for 18 holes of competitive play.

They will be joined by 44 of the local club's best men golfers and 22 of the club's best women golfers in a "calcutta" tournament.

    Much interest has been shown in the Young People's convention of the St. Joseph conference of the United Brethren church, which, is being held at Oakwood Park, Lake Wawasee. Thirty Warsawans are attending the training school, which is currently in session.
